Enders Game Series

Just finished reading the Entire Enders Game Collection.
I must say, I loved Ender's Game & Ender's Shadow.

The rest were good, but maybe not quite as good.

If anyone hasnt read this series, I definately recommend them.
Since there is 2 distinct perspectives of the stories, I suggest reading them in parallel...

First one was great, second one was good, and it went steadily downhill from there. I never liked ender's shadow either.

See I liked Enders shadow because it was beans perspective of battle shcool...
It was all the post war books i didnt like. Speaker, Xenocide, children of the mind, Shadow of the Hegemon, Shadow Puppets, Shadows od the Giant...

and I guess there are 2 more books coming out...
ender in Exile & Shadows in Flight

I liked the first two, but stopped reading Card a bit after Xenocide.

Fans of Card might enjoy the SF of L.E. Modesitt (Adiamante, Parafaith War) and Dan Simmons (Hyperion).

I liked Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, but the books that follow Bean after Ender's Shadow aren't anywhere near as good. Speaker for the Dead may be (IMO) the best book in either series. Xenocide was ok; I'm not sure if I want to read Children of the Mind or not.

I read Ender's Game and the book was only average IMO. It was intriguing, but not wonderfully so.
I read some of the other books, but just didn't really like the rest of the series.
Good reading for the average person 😛

Someone once told me that every OSC series starts out really well and then goes rapidly downhill. Seems to be correct... ?

I have read all of the Ender's books, and Ender's Shadow. The best is Ender's Game by far. I just finished re-reading it last month. The Trilogy,Speaker of the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind, were different. I might start reading them again. The one problem I have with OSC is that most of his books are about super children.

Loved Ender's Game, although it didn't seem as deep as some of my other sci-fi favorites (Dune and SSTroopers). Looking forward to reading the others in the series.
