Berberis sonnei has been removed from the endangered species list. We may now add mahonia berries to our salads once again.
 
After five minutes of arduous research on Berberis sonnei and the aforementioned berries I find that I don?t think my salad would be improved to any great extant by the addition of Mahonia berries. And as such I think most people should look upon the addition of Mahonia berries to salads an option that should be avoided.
