For some reason I just think the end pieces are weird. I usually just grab 2 middle pieces and then when it comes to the last possible minute I have the 2 end pieces. Just dont like them.

I pee on them and leave them in my neighbors mailbox
They're good in a pinch when you're out of TP too.

if it's sandwich bread, I just toss it. If it's garlic bread, I'll eat the end pieces.

Here is a tip for the end pieces of bread. Take note.
Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.
Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
Carefully extract the two end pieces from a fresh loaf of bread,
Place the two end pieces of the bread on the lightly greased cookie sheet.
Brush the end pieces of bread lightly with extra virgin Olive oil.
Place the cookie sheet with the two end pieces of bread into the pre-heated oven and now
turn the oven off.
Wait 5 hours or until the oven is cool. pull out the cookie sheet with the two end pieces of bread.
Remove the bread from the cookie sheet and put them in the trash, everyone knows that the end pieces
of bread is not good for anything.
