End of the world prank

I'd be concerned about the lack of depth when looking through the "window"

most of these "hidden camera" ads are used with all actors, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was just another one. Its neat to think the TV is so sharp and vivid that it could trick someone into believing what they are seeing is real, but simply moving the tiniest bit from left to right (or up and down) across the room could easily spoil the illusion vs. a real window

To properly simulate the illusion they'd need to do some headtracking: http://youtu.be/Jd3-eiid-Uw

Video was taken down. Anyone got another link?

I saw that too (the new one worked when I clicked on it.)

Hey LG Marketing Department:
You guys are morons. You were getting all sorts of free publicity & made them take it down??

Well, no shit.

I'm surprised people are stupid enough to believe that people are stupid enough to believe that.

not sure if serious

there are millions of people that stupid.

it woudl work with most people i imagin but they dont do it because of liability

They took the youtube video down for copyright in chilli....wtf...don't they want to advertise their TV's or not? Maybe they think it is too sensitive for peeps in America.

You could tell they were really scared. They couldn't do anything but speak jibberish when they saw it!

Really? You didn't stop to maybe think "Oh wait, no that's not jibberish, that's another language, yes I'm American but that doesn't mean I think that all other languages are english"?

Godamn Americans.

Didn't you stop to maybe think that "another language" = jibberish?

Still not a prank though, the only people being fooled are the idiots who think this is real. Everyone on the screen is an actor.

Exactly. The funniest part is that saying "jibberish" is a very common way to describe other languages sarcastically when the person is being blunt about not understanding what they're hearing. When I was learning French, the people teaching me said basically the exact same thing about English speakers. It was meant as a joke just like it was in this context. momeNt needs to remove the giant plunger from his ass.

These types of "pranks" often feature paid actors.

Anyway, if they are real people, I'm thinking the speakers shaking the walls have more to do with it than how good the screen quality is. At least I think I see shaking in the video, not sure if that is just the camera.
