I did glance at your links, although I don't have time to read through them.

If you've read them, or if you're in communication with the people compiling the encyclopedia, I'd be interested to read a post from you reporting on how they'll deal with the many things that don't quite meet all the criteria of "life" yet seem living in many ways.

E.G.; prions, maybe viruses, and other things I've heard about but don't remember the names of.
