Encrypted microsd card, transfer of files taking 10+ hours

I have the microsd card encrypted and it's taking over 10 hours to transfer 32gb of files. Is this normal for phone encryption? Thanks

Sigh... here we go again. What phone? Model number of SD card?

nevermind, it was the microsd adapter that came with with microsd, replaced it and transfer were fine.
