Encoding HD DVD collection.

Any suggestions for software to use for this purpose? My HD DVD drive is acting up (system with SSD is very, very slow to boot with it installed, super fast if disconnected) and I'd like to rip my collection "just in case" but don't really want to fill up an entire HDD with movie files.

AnyDVD HD can rip them for you. Other Slysoft software can do the encoding, but there's free stuff too like Handbrake.

One of the best things you can do is look for them on BluRay. Odds are you can pick up most of them for very little money.
