Hi,

so my laptop died and I was hoping to transfer the hard disk to an external enclosure that i could connect to my desktop (there's nowhere to mount it in my case).

The disk is 2.5" and the manual lists the interface type is "ATA-5."

I bought an IDE to USB enclosure thinking that was it but the connector wasn't the right type at all (hopefully newegg lets me return it). Google isn't helping me so is there an enclosure compatible with this? Is it just SATA?

Sorry for such a simple question but i can't figure it out!

And another closeup view showing the two types of 2.5-in drive connectors:

could it be micro sata? Btw, I currently have a nice 2.5 " USB 3 enclosure, from diablotek. It was pretty cheap too, not a bad device. Got it at frys.
