Enclave/Acadia/Outlook sales up...

Remember the old days (8 years ago) when SUVs weren't called SUVs, they were trucks. The original SUVs, Broncos, Cherokees, etc. were all just trucks for a long time. Then one day someone decided on a euphemism to make them appeal to more people. Such a sad day.

I'm glad they started calling them "crossovers" so that people don't confuse them with vehicles that can't truck themselves out of a grocery store.

I'm not a fan of cross-overs any more than I'm a fan of Minivans. Essentially they are just nicer looking minivans...but there are people who need/want the space of a minivan/crossover. The GMC Acadia that my mom recently purchased is similar in size to a minivan (same length/weight...but a little less interior room), but gets the same gas mileage as the Oddyssey/Sienna. If I had to choose between the two...I'd go with the Acadia in a second.
