Are there any new ways to enable it besides the hex editor?

I thought there'd be an auto exe. by now..
I also read somewhere that CoolBits can turn it on automatically? How?
It's an eVGA 6600GT AGP 8x if anyone can help. Thanks. :)

Riva has it. I'm not sure how to use it as every driver that i've used on my 6800gt has it built in.

You mean it has a temp sensor? Or it can enable the one on the 6600GT?

I'd very much like to find out, thanks.

Yeah, I tried that, that's what I meant by Hex Editor..
I got..

NVidia Firmare Upgrade Utility (Version 5.13)
I/O ERROR CANNOT OPEN FILE : NEW.ROM

gr..I/O error?
Means I can't enable it?

Also, for temporary cooling till I get case fans, can I remove the side of the Dell Dim 4600 and use a strong housefan to blow air in through the side and out through the back? Would this work even as a permanent solution??

So you did get your onboard graphics disabled? Sorry..I was remembering your thread earlier. Is your card overheating? I"m not sure how to use the Rivatuner way and i'm not sure if it would enable your temp sensor. If your card is running fine and it's the stock cooler, I would just leave it alone. It should have a lifetime warranty on it. If it dies, RMA time.

THe I/O Error you might be getting is due to a BIOS that isn't meant to be yours. Per those links, it looks like you won't be able to enable your temp sensor if 10 isn't shown in the hex editor.

Yeah, I got it working by connecting it to the dual DVI monitor adapter, no performance loss right?

Well, I used nvflash to flash/save my old bios, and used nibitor to "automatically enable temp sensor trick".

I don't know if the temp's too high, which is why I want the sensor. :).

Can I do that fan thing?

Oh, and what are the best 6600GT drivers and best oc'ing programs, I'd like one that I can run all night to test for overheating / best clocks.

Ahh, it just rebooted = overheated.

I really need to know about that house fan method and need to get the temp sensor working.

Is constant overheating bad for my comp / gpu?

Yeah it's the stock one but I've seen good overclocks from these cards...with stock hsf.

Can I do the house fan thing? Would it drop temps?

The house fan should work but tyipcally blows a bunch of other crap into your computer.

Is it bad for my comp if a little dust gets in?

And if it keeps overheating, does it mean it's an out-GPU problem? kthxgbye
