Enabling SATA/NCQ on DFI ultra nf4

I got my new SATA drive to work in windows, but it is still detected as an ATA133 drive. I also have problems installing windows on it.

How do i make sure SATA/NCQ is enabled, if it isn't how do i do it? Are the SATA drivers no the "RAID" floppy?

The whole hardware change has been a big headache, never had such a problem doing this.

Ok.. well it'd be nice if Windows Setup didn't freeze on me all the time 🙁 it seems like it doesn't like the SATA drive.

Device Manager - IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers - 2nd NVIDIA nForce4 AMDA Controller - Properties - Primar/Secondary Channel - Enable command queing

Had mine running for a couple of days now without issue. I think it automatically enabled once I installed the latest nForce4 mobo drivers.

Manually set up your memory timings and vdimm. Get your os installed, then install the latest nf4 platform drivers available at nVidia. NCQ will automatically be enabled after the install. 😉
