Enabling Line2 on Creative SB Live! Platinum

No matter what i do, i cannot enable the Mic2/Line2. At certain times i can do it, mostly i cannot. I am wondering is there something i can do to the registry to force enable my Line2? Any other ideas?

Dude, I saw your post last night... and it appears nobody has answered yet, because it's hard to determine what could be the problem... I have one of these cards, but mine works all the time... maybe you should open the case and see that all the cables are properly attached, and take a look at the breakout box, see if there's a defective contact for that particular input. Failing that, maybe reinstall the drivers? I'm shooting in the dark, but it's worth a try...

Hmm..reinstalling drivers don't help. Cables seem to be fine. The weird thing is right after logging in after a reboot, i can enable mic 2. However, it is on headphones by default (this is another irritating thing that this stupid sound card does), when i switch my output to 4 speakers, it disables line 2 mic, but i can still use the primary mic. this is very very irritating. I need some kind of work around to force it to enable.
