Enabling fast writes & sideband addressing?

I'm currently running a GeForce2 MX-400 video card with the Det4 drivers & was wondering how to enable fast writes & sideband addressing. Can anyone help me out. Thanks.
 
AFAIK, fast writes is enabled in your motherboard bios, while sideband addressing is a driver issue that is resolved automatically.
 
Fast writes is enabled in my BIOS. Although PowerStrip 3.01 reports both fast writes & sideband addressing hardware support, but currently disabled.
 
Hmm, strange. I don't use powerstrip, so no advice here. All I can say is that you're not missing out on much. I know creative put out an app that will let you force agp 4x and fast writes, but as far as I know, they were the only manufacturer to do so.

Probably because Fast Writes and Sideband Adressing rarely seem to improve performance at all, and also impact stability significantly in some instances.
