Enabling DMA on Que 24X (Sanyo BP1500)

Does anyone know if dma can be enabled in Win2000. I can't seem to get it to, and the performance of this drive stinks in PIO4.
Hugh CPU usage and nowhere near it's rated speed (slower than my Teac 16X).

goto Device Manager/ide devices (or controllers , if my memory serves me correct) then goto your primary/secondary channel depending what your drive is hooked up to and then goto advance options .
