Enabling cheats on SOF II - [EDIT - figured it out!]

Okay, it's driving me nuts!!!!

I've added this line to my desktop shortcut:

"F:\Games\SOF II\SoF2.exe" +set sv_cheats 1

and then when i'm in the game, I hit the tilde key to get into the console and when I try a cheat code, it tells me that cheats are not enabled on this server! What's going on? It's driving me crazy, please somebody help me! I just want to shoot that &$@#( helicopter outta the sky!

BTW: while in console, i've also tried 'set random sv_cheats1' with no avail!

If this is the Columbia mission, look for a button.

If this is the Hospital mission, shoot the engine on each side of the body.

Thanks, I know about the engines on the sides - I keep on running outta ammo though! I'm just frustrated and dont' want to deal with it anymore! Maybe I just need a break? It's also bugging me that I can't figure out how to enable the cheats, even if I don't use them right now - it's the principle of the matter, it's driving me nuts!

I hated that chopper too. The engines are the key.
Sorry I can't be helpful on the cheats.

Well I finally figured out the cheat, had to load map from within game to activate it. I can breath now, phew! Going to go back one day and blow that chopper outta the sky w/o any cheats though, one day.

Thanks, I know about the engines on the sides - I keep on running outta ammo though!

There should be plenty of ammo to finish off the aircraft, especially if you score direct hits on the engines and propellers instead of just spraying gunfire wildly. Some extra tips:

• Hit the aircraft with a grenade and it automatically knocks out one engine.
• When the transformer blows up a pole falls over and crushes the fence in the corner of the building. Walk up the pole to the other side of the fence and you'll find one of those large portable machine guns which will make mince-meat out of the engines.

Thanks, hitting that chopper with a grenade is easier said then done! Mine always seem to get lobbed right over it or miss it completely, I did manage to do it once though - i'll keep on trying!.
