Enabling 5.1 (Audigy 2) Ubuntu

I did a google search and it mentioned things such as ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture?) Mixer and stuff.

I have sound, but I dont know what driver it is using. Am i supposed to download some alsa drivers or something?

Can someone help me out (again 😱 )

Nevermind. I modified some commands I already knew for the Video Card and i managed to see that the Audigy Driver was installed. Then i managed to get into the mixer and level out the front, center, rear, and sub volume levels.

Could you post what you did to solve it? I'm sure it would help others in a similar situation. 🙂

Well sure. I just made sure that the Mixer was enabled. Then I clicked on the Mixer and there were Surround and Center Channel Options among other things. At the bottom of it, it showed which driver was installed. Then I just made sure all the volume levels were set to the same.
