My FIC503+ came with a software utility to enable ultra DMA in Win98 but it doesn't work with Win2000. does anyone know if FIC has a patch or software to do this?

Just enable it in the bios, be sure it's enabled in the hard drive firmware, and then in the device manager>ide controller. It works. (dma33 only though).

IO333 is right, but you gonna need the Service Pack 2 installed.
If you dont have, you choose the DMA option, and when you restarts or when shuts down, it will be back to PIO mode I think. But it still works on UDMA, just dont show as DMA. SO SP2 solves this problem.

Good luck!
