I'm running Windows 98SE. Should I enable "plug and play OS" on my KT7 bios?

No - Win9x/ME or previous versions of MS OSes don't fully support Plug + Pray. According to MS only Win2K and above do/will.

In my opinion, you should DISABLE plug-n-play in the bios. I had to in order to get my modem to work. I think it interfers with windows plug-n-play. Apparently, the two don't get along. :)

I've been working on a machine lately for a friend. Its just a total pile o crap...P133 with 40 megs but its loaded with devices and I'm having IRQ problems...would disabling plug n play in the bios help this? Or would a plug n play bios option only be on a newer mobo?

Actually, I think the bios plug-n-play is more of a prob on older mobos. Basically, bios plug-n-play is bad for most situations. Try it and let me know if it works. :)
