Enablding Dual Channel RAM

Hello,
I have a 865PE Neo2-PFISR (http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=865PE_Neo2-PFISR&class=mb) motherboard and I have added to sticks of DDR400 dual channel RAM. My MB does support this but it is running in single channel. I've looked all over the BIOS and manual and cannot figure out how to enable dual channel. Is this a BIOS setting or should it be automatic?

Also, I put the chips in the same color set.. do I need t change that?

Also, is the XMS series THAT much faster in real world than the value ram?

Please help. Thanks!

Where physically have you placed your ram? On my asus P4P800E the ram has to be in alternate slots for Dual channel to be enabled. The two sticks of ram can't be in the two slots that are next to each other. Not sure if that's the case for you but worth a try maybe.

It will be detected automatically if it is in the correct slots. It sounds like you have one of the sticks in the wrong slot. The mobo manual should have the correct placement for dual channel operation.
