Enabeling Windows update under win2k?

Just wondering if anyone knew how to enable windows update under 2000 if it was disabled through policy management, thanks
 
All windows update does is open your browser and points it to windowsupdate.microsoft.com - you can create a shortcut to do the same thing.
 
for some reason even when I navigate to win update it gives me an error stating that my admin turned it off and distributes updates locally. I modified some of the policies and got it working though
 
sorry dude, thats the point of GPO's so that you cant get around them and change it...im sure thereis a regedit hack for it, but you probably dont have access to regedit either.
why bother on a work pc?
