I just recently started using eMule and noticed that my up/download speeds suck. So I click on Options > Connection > Test ports. The eMule test ports website comes up but my "TCP test failed! UDP test will not be performed." Why?!
*I have opened these ports (TCP 4662 and UDP 4762) on my internal WinXP firewall. I even tried briefly turning off the WinXP firewall.
*I'm also using a D-Link DI-524 router. I opened the ports (TCP 4662, UDP 4672, and TCP 4711) on my router to allow incoming traffic by following the directions from D-Link's website. Here's where I get confused though, I'm not sure which IP address to use... I went to the command prompt and typed in "ipconfig". I first used that IP while opening the ports in my router. But since that didn't work, I noticed that eMule's website was testing a different IP. So I went back and replaced the old IP address with the IP address that eMule and whatismyip.com gave me. But that didn't work either.
Basically, which IP should I use? How can I tell if I'm behind another firewall?
Thanks for your help!
