I have been using Kazaa Lite as my P2P client with great success but tried eMule since I read they had some software I needed. I can't believe how SLOW their network is. I'm on a DSL line and often download at ratesw below 1.5Kb/sec. Anybody else have trouble with eMule speeds?

This really isn't the place to whine about your warez downloading slow. Piracy isn't something the mods like around here. You should probably delete this topic.

Uhm excuse me!

Where did he say specifically that he was downloading "unlicensed" software? Or in your own terminology "warez"

I have tried various other P2P programs - none of which have lived up to either Napster, Morpheus, Audiogalaxy or Kazaa Lite.

From my experience:
WinMX slow as $hit, Edonkey 2000 slow as the aforementioned... can't see any reason to leave Kazaa Lite as it has the bggest user base at the moment.

I will just consider your ignorant comments as made by one who is ill informed. Where does it say in my post that I am "pirating" software? My question had to do with the operation speed of free and legal software namely "eMule". Perhaps you should not post on topics that you either do not, or cannot understand. Since you appear to be clueless and ill-informed, P2P networks are quite common and quite legal until someone judges otherwise. Perhaps you should leave your armchair and games once in awhile and get up to speed on what's going on out in the tech world. Have a nice day! Jeez....

If u're looking to download only MP3s, the speed of Kazaa Lite can't be beat.. For everything else there's eDonkey 2000(eMule). Slow at first, but once it picks up, it's pretty decent (not fast mind you). The more u share the faster u download....

Me doth think you protest too much. You said that you heard that "emule had some software you needed", not "you needed the emule software." What exactly is it you're looking for?

Since the new version of ON was released last weekend, myself and others have seen an increase in ON users relative to edonkey clients. If this is representative of the whole network, then emule may not be able to find as many sources. ON users with dynamic IPs don't find too many emule clients anyway, but personally, when I find them in my queues I restart my client to kick them.

What software are you looking for? They might have a website with fast servers.

What is the problem here? I clearly asked if anyone was having problems with slow connections with "EMule" which uses their own software? I only mentioned I was trying to download some software as an aside and a few of you can't seem to focus on anything but that. Now for the last time....ARE ANY OF YOU HAVING TROUBLE WITH DOWNLOAD SPEEDS USING EMULE AS I AM?? I don't know how I can make it any clearer.
