Hi everyone,

I'd like to play videogames ran on an emulator on my computer, and using a tv output view them on my TV screen and play there. I would need to buy a videocard with TV out and also a wireless gamepad.

Has anyone tried this? Will it be possible for me to see the games full-screen on my tv? The games i would play would probably be around the SNES-Genesis era, so the resolution will be around 320*240 (I guess). Will any videocard be able to resize the output so it will be fullscreen on my tv?

Thanks!

it depends what video-out chipset is being used and what emulator u're running...some can stretch the video across the entire window/screen, some can't...but in theory, u can...any modern card w/ TV-out and any good emulator should be able to do it...

I set up a computer to do just that about a year ago. Actually, it also plays mp3s and movies over the network to my home theater, but the emulation stuff is there too. Anyway, I used a cheapo Radeon VE, and it works fine with Snes9x, MAME, etc. It was like $45 when I bought it a year ago.
