emulating mouse input with a gamepad?

Is there any feasible way to emulate the functions of mouse such as a ps/2.usb,or serial with a gamepad which might be on the midi/gamepo or usb?I was imagining the comfort levels.
 
some "gamepads" allow this already. so it is possible. Dont ask me which ones though. it all depends on drivers actually.

the odd looking MS gamepad that was meant for fps had mouse emulation i think, the dual strike.
