Hi,
I hope someone can help with this.
Does anyone know of a way of connecting 2 computers over the internet(either manually or using a piece of software), whilst fooling them into thinking they are on a LAN (IPX).
The scenario is as follows. Myself and a friend, who lives 300 miles away, both have cable modems (from different network providers). Whilst some games are no problem, allowing you to type in an IP address and connect, some require you to be on a LAN to have multiplayer games. These sort of games were simple to fool when using dial-up, but I can`t work out what to do now we are both on broadband. (We are both using Win98 BTW).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
