EMU 0404 USB

I'm looking to get rid of my sound blaster x-fi, and using the emu 0404 usb as my full time sound card since it has better hardware and better fidelity. of course im going to be giving up hardware eax and all that good stuff, but i listen to music and record more anyways on my PC.

if anyone has this sound card can they please share their experience with it?

ps. I dont know whether this goes in pc gaming or another forum but if this isnt appropriate here, mods please move it
 
I have heard several times that it's not the greatest for gaming, maybe I'm wrong. I am going to get an HT Omega Claro when ever I get money for it.
