EMS Computing = TechStore?

Does anyone know of any relationship between these two companies? I was just checking inventory on a few items at both stores and found that, according to their websites, they both have the exact same number of four different items in their inventories. For example:

  • They both have 82 Antec SX 840's in stock
They are both out of stock on the Linksys BEFSR41
They both have 413 SMC Barricade (SMC7004ABR) in stock
They both have 368 copies of Norton SystemWorks 4.0 Pro in stock
This is too much to be coincidence but EMS Computing is has a lower price on every one of those items.

Anyone have any thoughts/info on this (or maybe I really just need a new hobby 😀)?

Wow, that makes complete sense. I can't believe I didn't think of it before posting. 😱

Thanks...

It's called drop shipping.
What they did is just create a web store and then they forward the PO to the wholesaler.
Their profit is wholesaler price minus their selling price.

I was visiting relatives last x-mas in Gainsville, Fla. and looking through the local yellow pages for any pc stores in the area ..............
EMS was evidently a B&M store at one time and now just a mail order website, but they must be fairly large to compete nation-wide ..........
I never really noticed them before my vist?
