Empty webpages at work

Its not showing blocked like it does with other pages, but it shows almost all the sites other than the ones I go to most (slickdeals & fatwallet). Any opinions?

I would check to see if any of your coworkers can access these pages. If they can, try cleaning out your browser's cache. If they can't, check with your IT administrator as they may have instituted a No-Fun policy and blocked these sites. Hmm, maybe they just haven't put in a warning message for forum-based sites as my previous company did?

Works on other computers. I deleted cookies, history & offline content. Still doesnt work. Is there something Im missing?

Also ran %temp% and deleted all files. Still no luck.

If anyone reads HTML when i view source it says:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>

P.S.- Im at my work computer now accessing this forum if that helps.

This probably won't do anything, but close your browser and run this from a command prompt:
ipconfig /flushdns

Thank you for not giving up! I tried it, but still nothing. I find it odd that blocked pages say they are blocked and these two open to a blank page. Any thoughts?

Thanks also for all the help so far.

Is there anything in your HOSTS file that is pointing those two sites to some other page? Be careful while viewing this file that you don't make an accidental change and save it.

I did a search for files and folders for HOSTS and came up with 4 files but nothing appeared helpful. None were modified and appear to be empty. Any other suggestionsfrom anyone?

The Hosts file is found in
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
and can be opened with Notepad. Aside from this line
127.0.0.1 localhost
and some explanatory text by Microsoft, you shouldn't have anything listed.

Unless, you've immunized your machine with an anti-spyware app like Spybot. That would stop you from presumably browsing to those listed sites as a safety measure.
