Empty folders after you extract Rars?

Not sure what topic this falls under, so I will post here.

Seems like when I create rars with Winrar and use another multi-compression program like Filzip or ZipGenius it extracts the file but the folder is empty. Yet, if you extract that same rar file with Winrar, it comes out just fine.

I don't get any errors....Is there something special Winrar is putting into the compression scheme that prevents the other programs from reading it properly but not error out?

Could be, you can get around it by turning your RAR file into a self-extracting EXE, it only adds a little to the file size.
