Emprex DVD+-RW dual layer

Hi,
I just bought this DVD writer yesterday when I was at the store as my first writer. Do you think this is a good drive or should I return it and get the NEC DVD writer.

BenQ DW1640 is the best DVDRW out there if you decide you don't want the unknown-name one you got

You would have to find out exactly what drive is in the box to know whether it is worth keeping or not. Emprex is likely just a packager. More than likely it is a LiteOn or a BTC. LiteOns haven't been particularly good lately - BTC has never been good.
