Employer review websites

Any suggestions? Glassdoor is out of the question. Employers can pay glassdoor to have negative reviews removed. Sad that they came to that method to get money out of employers. It's a worthless website and even when employers aren't paying, you can sometimes tell when there's a lot of fake reviews.

Just because your company hasn't doesn't mean others don't...

They may not have chosen to pay for removal. Any site that allows buying reviews can't be trusted.

To my knowledge, they can't pay to have negative reviews removed BUT their HR employees can sign up anonymously and give glowing reviews to offset the negative ones.

It is like anything else - don't base your decisions solely on Glassdoor. Read the negative reviews, see if you can detect certain patterns, and then use other sources to corroborate what you learned. Also remember that many employees just suck and of course, they're going to give negative reviews regardless. TridenT strikes me as someone like that.

Lol I've been on glassdoor and just noticed a review from my company a little while back. It's most obviously a fake because it basically says how awesome something is that was directly complained about by people working in the trenches.

It's been firmly established that he can and in fact will be picky in defiance of all reason and logic.

Online reviews are shit.

Even reviews in person require you to judge for yourself the circumstances of the person vs the place they are complaining about.

Some people complain about a place because they sucked at their job and got fired. Some places are legit bad places to BE. As in its a pressure cooker of stress and makes everyone crazy.
