Says the release date is in Feb.

I'm pretty pumped, some of the gameplay looked like it was lagging a little bit, but some of the effects, like gunpowder smoke look really really good.

The campaign map looks beautiful as well.

I continue to have very high hopes for this title.

Think I linked this in an older thread, but whatever. That looks awesome. I just hope that armies can be bigger. How will I re-enact Waterloo with just a paltry 5000 men...

Being able to garrison inside buildings and construct your own fortifications seems very cool.

I hope that its expansion will focus on the Napoleonic Wars, the time period that Empire covers is just a few years before it all began, so I'd definitely see an expansion for that purpose. I can definitely see Empire being the best of the Total War series so far, looks great indeed, and naval warfare is a superb extra in my book, although I'll always prefer the land battles for sure.

I hope CA takes more time to squash game bugs before release than they have in past games. They are nortorious for putting out a game with many obvious bugs and then patching after they have the consumer's money. They can blame SEGA all they want but ultimately I hold them responsible since they are actually making it. I would imagine you'll see a Napoleanic campaign. Of course if they dont then the modding community will start on it right away on their own I imagine. Could probably do a better job of it considering how the TW community is devoted to the various games of the past. Assuming the coding allows for it which it probably will but that remains to be seen since a new game engine is being used. It'll be interesting to see how well the naval side of the fighting is handled as well. I hope they get it right.
