Hi all,

I've recently purchased Empire Earth, it's a great game, but I am having a problem when I try to host a multiplayer game.

I have a NetGear RT314 router. I've searched the 'net and found out that I must have ports 33334 and 33335 open to host a game. I opened these ports and directed them to the computer w/ Empire Earth installed. This method works for MOH:AA, it uses port 12203 I believe.

Anyway, even after opening these ports, when someone tries to connect to my game, it says that they cannot connect and that I may be running a firewall.. I do run ZoneAlarm, but I have given Empire Earth access to the 'net.

Anyone have any suggestions? Do I have to open other ports?

Like I said, I had no problem hosting MOH:AA game once I opened the correct port. This is getting frustrating.

Thanks in advance,
-Erik

I don't know about Empire Earth, but I have run MOHAA and Counter-Strike servers behind that same router and sounds like you have done it correctly. For CS, the port to forward is 27015.

Perhaps double check that you have the correct port(s) for Empire Earth and also just make sure to check the DHCP table for the router to make sure you are opening the port for the host (server) computer.
