Emperor: Battle for Dune Freezes!

Hi all,

Please help. I just got the game Emperor: Battle for Dune and it has froze 5 times while playing it. Sometimes in game, and once in the loading screen for a battle. I am only on mission 2 because of this, and don't want to play it again till this problem is fixed. Any ideas? I have the latest patch.

1.33ghz Athlon
Leadtek Geforce 3 w/12.41 nvidia reference beta drivers
512mb Crucial PC2100 DDR RAM
Quantem Fireball 7200rmp 30gb hard drive

hmm mine seems fine.. what operating system.. i'm on w2k with sp2.. no flaws.. btw.. whats your system temps while running that game..

It is freezing because I think you have a ripped copy of it (unless the release date is different where you are from). Buy it instead.

I'd try different video card drivers. My Leadtek Geforce2 Pro card was extremely picky about which drivers I used.

Are you using the no-cd patch by any chance? I had the same problems when I used the no-cd patch, but when I restored the original executables, the game stopped freezing.

well im geting some video glitches from time to time with my v3 but it locked on me only once in like 20 hours of play. Did you d/l the patch(1.06)?? if not do that.

Hmm it just froze again..... I think i'll wait for another patch too

Hmmmm aparently the crash/freeze in E:BFD is actualy some sort of issue with creative sound cards(or their drivers) do you have an sblive?? I have one so this thery wors out for me. I got this on the forums at the official emperor site btw. Oh yea and I must say that even with these small crashes the game is still awesome, go buy it !!!
