I just got back from getting my Emmission tests done for my 1987 Ford Crown Victoria.

Woohoo! Check these results out:

Speed : 40km/h

Test / Limit / Reading / Result

HC ppm / 104 / 23 / PASS

CO% / 0.58 / 0.00 / PASS

NO ppm / 1126 / 40 / PASS

RMP / 2164 / VALID
Dilution / 10.90 / VALID

Speed : Curb Idle

Test / Limit / Reading / Result

HC ppm / 300 / 12 / PASS

CO% / 1.5 / 0.00 / PASS

NO ppm / N/A / N/A / N/A

RPM / 685 / VALID

Dilution / 08.70 / VALID

OMG!!!!!!

And that is a 302 (5L) V8 in a fullsize older sedan with 106000 KM on the odometer. :Q

Take that eco-nazis! I have better emmission compliance than many new cars do. 😉

You do realize your requirments as a older car are MUCH lower, newer cars have much lower requirments. My 5.7 V8 does just as well as yours does.

Don't ruin my fantasy here! 😉

Ran out and grabbed the Camry's emissions test from last month, lol..

Weird... ours like measures differently or something.

Test \ Limit \ Reading \ Result

HC g/mi \ 2.00 \ 0.86 \ Pass
NOx g/mi \ 3.70 \ 1.61 \ Pass
CO g/mi....\32.0 .\05.2 .\ Pass
Noise = Pass
Smoke = Pass

'87 Camry with 180k.

interesting... how easy is it to fail an emissions test?

no emissions test required here, well not until 2005.

I saw a 1955 Ford Pickup get a perfect score on the emissions test. Its not really that surprising.

Anyway, the econoboxes still get better mileage than you do.

But I think your car is way cooler.
