Eminem puts down Michael Jackson in "Just Lose It"

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Michael Jackson is angered by the way he is mocked in rapper Eminem's recently released video "Just Lose It" and has asked cable music stations to remove the video from their rotations.

In the video, Eminem is costumed as Jackson and is seen with a group of boys in the background, jumping around as he sings about Jackson's child molestation allegations: "Come here, little kiddie, on my lap. Guess who's back with a brand new rap."

Jackson has pleaded not guilty in Santa Barbara County to child molestation, conspiracy and administering alcohol to an underage companion.

"I am very angry at Eminem's depiction of me in his video," Jackson said Tuesday in an interview with comedian Steve Harvey on Los Angeles radio station 100.3 FM.

"I feel that it is outrageous and disrespectful. It is one thing to spoof, but it is another to be demeaning and insensitive."

Also in the video, Eminem ridicules plastic surgery done on Jackson's nose, and an accident in which Jackson's hair caught fire while he was filming a Pepsi commercial in 1984.

Only Black Entertainment Television has agreed to pull the video. The network's president and founder, Robert Johnson, said he felt it was inappropriate to disparage a celebrity.

Who doesn't he put down in his videos? Everyone is just over reacting. Pulling the video is lame!

I just watched it via Launch. OMG that was hilarious. I do have to admit the song had to grow on me to like it, but I can't wait to see what the rest of the CD is like.

Eminem the one-trick pony. Make a video mocking a "soft target." Career failure is imminent.

No, I think it's the other way around. He used that reason as an excuse to make sure there weren't too many white people appearing on his network. I mean there is already an occasional extra in the background of the videos who's white, and that's bad enough! 😛

God that song sucks. He has now transformed into a corporate puppet whose job is to now churn out hits for high schoolers. I understand he has to pay the bills, but don't turn into a fcking sellout... people will buy songs with actual substance like Lose Yourself or Cleanin Out My Closet, not bullshit like "Just Lose It" made for teeny boppers. :disgust:

he always has a poppy 1st single. its what gets him to platinum status. its also the reason he also loathes his 1st single's. he wont perform 'my name is' or 'real slim shady' or 'without me' in concert, because he detests those songs. but he also knows making a catchy-bubblegum-teeny-bopper track sells records. why stray from the formula that has worked so well for him since day 1? 3 times he's done it before, and each time the albums get darker and darker.
