A friend of mine was given an old Emerson monitor to use with his daughter's computer. When he tries to run it on his Win95 system, the splash screen comes on in all its fame and glory but when the desktop appears it is duplicated many times across the screen. At first I thought maybe he needed to download the appropriate drivers to allow the system to properly recognize the monitor. We tried to find drivers for the Emerson monitor but could not locate any. I then remembered having a similiar problem with my system while I was palying around with the refresh rates.
Does anyone feel that I heading in the right direction with trying to adjust the refresh rates to eliminate the multiple instances of the desktop?
Does anyone have any other suggestions other than purchasing a new up to date monitor??
TIA
Kevin
