Hi there, my old computer's mobo died so I bought a new one, a new CPU fan, and a new GPU to go along with it.

After I installed everything and powered the machine on. There was no display on the monitor, just black screen! I made sure everything was connected properly and peripheral cards tightly pushed into their slots. The CPU fan was working, as was the CDROM drive, but the floppy, keyboard, and monitor weren't!

My system specs are:
- SOYO SY-7ISA+ (New mobo)
- Thermaltake Volcano 6Cu (New CPU fan)
- XFX Geforce4 MX440SE SDR 64mb (New GPU)
- PIII 650mhz CPU
- 250W PS
- 256 PC-133 SDRAM
- Two harddrives (Samsung and Maxtor)
- Floppy drive
- Sony burner
- Cables, mouse, keyboard, etc

There was no beeping noise. The only devices functional are the CPU fan (whirring) aand CDROM (open and closes). The monitor, floppy, and even the keyboard (no light) don't work!

What could be the problem? Any diagnostic pros here who can help me? I am really deperate in getting this thing to function because my bro needs a functional computer for work.

Thank you so much if you can offer some help!

P.S Just ask me for any additional details you would like to know!

No beep = RAM, vid card or processor are not properly seated or are screwed.

And btw, nice triple post.

Oh, and I think most motherboards have a small 2 character LED in the corner that can help you figure out what is wrong.
