I am experiencing a tgrouble with embedded video played with windows media player.

I get a blank page where the video is suppose to be.

Cant find what deactivated it.

Any help appreciated.

UPDATE: Installed WMP 11 solve half the problem. Now I can see the player and press play, but only get a black image with sound.

Can't really answer from the amount of information you provided. Whose page is it? Where is the video stored? Are you getting a completely blank page, or an HTTP error, or what?

On my pc every website that have windows media player video embedded in the website, I only see a blank page where the player is suppose to be.

I have compared settings of my pc to my laptop, the laptop does play and show the player, and I cant find some relevant to change.

I have google/yahoo//msn and cant seem to find how to restore the embedded wmp on website.

Here is an example of a page I cannot see :

This is what I see :

You didn't change anything? Install a new version of IE, or the updated WMP? Or maybe some other software that asked if you wanted to use it to play windows media files? What's going on with Norton at the lower right of that screenie? Looks like it might be alerting on something.

No I didnt change anything, a few softwares not related to video.

Norton is complaining about not doing a full scan for a while.
