I used to think (about a year ago) that my schools football team wasn't worth shit. Hadn't really paid attention to college football. I mentioned this notion to a group of friends (who dont let me forget it) while watching my first football game.

It would be understandable, maybe even forgivable, if I didn't go to UF (Florida gators). Unfortunately many people here have a hard-on for football, and they shout endless praises to Tim Tebow as he rides past them on his glorious orange and blue scooter. I wish I was kidding.

Im sure I've had worse moments but its late and fuck that mess.

Are you not from Florida? How could you not know? Gators & Seminoles football is religion here. I don't even like football and I know what.

I would love to have been in the room with a bunch of Gators fans when you said that. LOL

lol I'm from Miami, I knew about the Gators & Seminoles (and their hatred for each other) but I had no idea that UF had a GOOD football team (noles are up for debate...of course lol).

I did say it in a room full of Gator fans. It went silent and I had the biggest "oh shit..." moment of my life.

Understandable if your school hadn't recently won two national titles ... I don't know how you would've missed all the newspaper headlines and wild parties or classroom chatter.

We're talking about religion, something that an atheist wouldn't know squat about.

In my experience, the average atheist knows more about religion than the average religious person.
