Embarrassing Car Question: Mitsubishi Galant (DOH Got it)

Ok, I have a 2003 Galant rental car, and for the life of me I cannot find the gas tank release lever. I NEED GAS.

But I can't open the damn thing, anyone know where it is?

It is Not:

On the floor near the trunk release
Anywhere on the dash (that I have found)
In the trunk.

I know I am overlooking it, but I can't find it.

yea some of em don't have it and you can just open it.

Yes, the gas tank is locked, I tried manually doing it as well.

Checked there too.. There are 3 buttons on remote: Lock, Unlock, & Trunk.

On the back of it, it says this: (hopefully formatting comes out as bad as it is)

UNLOCK TWICE
ALL DOORS
TRUNK TWICE
OPEN

Dude I drove a galant rental car for a month, and I don't remember there being any secret to it.

Off the top of my head, I thought it either didn't have one, or was part of the trunk release cable. You're SURE you don't just push on half of the lid and it pops open, etc?

For some reason I'm thinking the trunk release was like pull to release trunk, push to open gas cap or something like that.
