Emailing router logs

boomerang

Lifer
I can do it here at home with Comcast, but I cannot get it to work at the wife's office using SBC.

I have tried every variation I can, including configuring for Comcast's mail servers.

Installed WallWatcher hoping I could get that to work, but no luck. Neat program though.

I've been told that some ISP's look for an answer back from the sending computer but a router is just not going to do that. Not very technical there on the wording, hope you know what I'm trying to say. 😕

Am I overlooking or missing something?

Oh yes. I found a bunch of suggestions online including also trying SBC's POP server, using the login in the format of username.ISP.whatever instead of username@ISP.whatever, with and without login and password. Every combo I can come up with.

I get a feeling that my case is not an isolated one. Just confirmation that it's an ISP issue will allow me to give up. I'm pretty much convinced because as I said, I can do it here at home no problem.
