emailing access files

I need to send some m/s access files to myself from my college's network, but the "Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access" won't let me send them to myself saying that they are unsecure. I can not access my hotmail, gmail, or yahoo mail, so i'm not sure if they let them through. Does anybody know whether gmail, hotmail, or yahoo mail blocks .mdb files?

ok, i just got a failed delivery from gmail, saying that the attachment is illegal.

i'm going to try your method, ravana, though i'm not sure about the password protecting.

change the .mdb to .txt then change it back when you receive it (some modern filters are smart enough to not let that fly either though)

also, this is too on topic for off topic
LOL

I done it using ravana's method, and it worked, though i didn't p/w protect it. TY.

Now people can hijack this thread saying what a fscktard i am for not knowing how to do that. 😀

don't email files, you should transfer them via some file transfer method, which email isn't

I agree with you from a technical perspective, but you know, sometimes there just isn't any other option available.

Yep, zip and email. Otherwise put it on a cd or memory key.
