Email when a like is received

Not sure about other members, but I use email pretty much exclusively to notify me when an thread I have subscribed to has been updated. Is there a way we could also get an option to receive an email when a post of ours is liked as well? There is notification in the forums of, course, but those get buried in the thread updates. Thank you.

And email updates wouldn't get buried in your email?
For example, I am 99% in the computer-related side and the forums aren't as crazy over there. I browse others, and see a lot more likes going back and forth, so, like I said, just wanting the option.

I would rather receive an e-mail when someone quotes me or mentions me @RossMAN in a post.

Is that already available and I just haven't figured out how to enable it?

I haven't seen it. Both are available in the alerts section, but would be nice to have them available in email, for those of us who dare. Since email alerts are available for thread replies and requested subscriptions, my ignorance tells me it wouldn't be too difficult to add for these other two.

Do you subscribe to quite a few active threads, so that likes are being buried? Most of the threads I'm watching tend to die after just a couple of days. These forums, particularly the tech forums, aren't very active.

I bookmark my alerts page, and always enter the forums that way. I don't miss replies to subscribed threads, or likes.

There's also a dedicated page that you could check periodically for likes.

It's not that they are incredibly hard to find, but neither are replies to subscribed threads, and I rely on email to let me know when these are triggered.

So, you're not a regular visitor to the forum, unless you get an email telling you there was some activity? I guess I don't really see the value in being informed of a like. It doesn't add new content to a discussion.

I get email notification to subscribed threads. There wouldn't be subscribed threads if I wasn't already in the forums "discussing." I am only asking that a "like" get the same treatment as responding to a thread (offer to email notification).
But thanks for sharing your input Carson Dyle. I know that not everyone cares, and it isn't a huge deal either way.
