I'm an Arctic Cooling fan, and am pissed there's not a solution to fit my 7900GT's. I decided to send them an email. Who knows if they read the stuff...

What is Arctic Cooling doing to provide a better than stock cooling solution for the nVidia 7900GT? The reference cooling solution is the worst seen in years. Regardless, demand is high. It's certain to be a top seller over the coming months. End users will buy this product with immediate intentions to replace the stock cooler.

Zalman has the VF900 CU coming available 04/15/06. What about Arctic Cooling? Where's your solution? Are you ready to lose thousands of orders to Zalman? Trust me on this one, there is a huge discontent with the stock cooling solution on the 7900GT. Loyal Arctic Cooling users will buy what's available. We're not going to wait.

Myself, I've invested hundreds into making my PC as quiet as possible. I'm not going to stand by as my stock 7900GT fans scream inside an otherwise silent PC case.

There is nothing available on the internet that indicates AC's intention to release a product that fits the 7900GT. New or old design, DHES or not, we need something. I encourage you to relase information ASAP.

Dont be a sissy little girl, cut the bracket in the case and you'll have a cool exhaust sticking out of it.
Otherwise ac will probably charge more for a shortened version.

They'll have a simple answer for you:
[Accelero is] not compatible to most 7900 GT boards (passive cooler for 7900 GT will be available from 06/2006)
Sorry, but sometimes a design just gets outdated or is incompatible with new stuff. Move on and get a Zalman or wait for AC to release their passive cooler.

I dunno, persionally i'm not so keen on the idea of a passive cooler, unless they have some magical cooler that will let me oc a 7900gt to 565+ without a fan. Passive cooler sounds like silent cooler for stock speed 7900 gt. Sure some ppl will buy it, but what about those that get the aftermarket cooler specifically so a higher oc can be attained alongside the lower temps?
