I like the ability to store all my email for archival purposes on my desktop computer. Sometimes, even years later, I like to be able to look up past emails. Until now, I've just had a desktop computer and it was easy to keep track of all my email because I only used it to check my email.
I recently got a laptop (Toshiba 3005-S304 - Kudos to the AT member that originally recommended it 2 months ago) and I also use it to check my email. Here's my problem:
If I download messages with my laptop, they won't be available to download from the server using the desktop. And, all emails that I answer are saved in the sent mail folder of the laptop but not the desktop. Right now, I'm using Outlook Express, which I would like to continue to use. However, I'm willing to switch to a client that gives me more options. It must be able to handle more than one account, though, because I have two main accounts that I normally use. I know Outlook Express allows importing of folders and stuff like that - do I just have to do that periodically? or is there some way to synchronize all messages between both computers automatically? or is there a way to leave all messages on the email server?
(One account it POP3, the other is IMAP.)
