Email recommendation needed

Hi all. I currently have ATT Yahoo DSL, but I'm thinking of switching. I have alot of online forum memberships and online store accounts. Some I don't use for a long time and sometimes I need to use the "forgot password" option to retrieve them.

Most people seem to say it's a bad idea to use free email for anything important and they also seem to get spammed alot. So I use my ATT account.

Problem is it's a big hassle to try and remember every online membership or account linked to that email and to set those accounts to another email account and then to change them back when I get a new ISP provider.

Are there any email services that are worth keeping for the long haul? I imagine my ISP could change somewhat often since I look for deals when the contract ends and it makes all this a big hassle.

What do you guys do?

Thanks

I have used mail.com for many years. All of my forums have that as my address. Also all of my online places know this address.

So....when I change ISPs, I only tell my friends. Makes it very easy.

I have the no ads version of mail.com. Cost a little money but well worth it.

have you considered purchasing your own domain and subscribing to a managed e-mail service?

I'm not sure how all that works. If you purchase your own domain I assume u can host it anywhere? Not sure I would have to have a host for this use? Also, not sure what managed email is.

I knew enough to build my own PC, but sometimes the software side gets too much to keep up on.

buy your own domain, then sign up for a service that will host your own accounts.

Example.
