First off, if this is the wrong forum i apologize...there isn't really an internet website board so i didn't know where to post it (software for windows? not really).

Anyway, is there anyway i can forward the emails i get in my schools email website and send them to their own folder or something in my gmail account? that'd be awesome.

thanks!

It all depends on your school's email configuration. If they allow forwarding, you can configure it to send copies to gmail without a problem. You need to contact them to see if they have it set up.

Some places will not allow forwarding to cut down on traffic or to head off possible performance issues with the mail server itself.

not folders but you can set up a rule to apply a label to them.

You make a label. Then go into settings and create a filter that takes all those email and label them. To make them not show up in your inbox, you'll also want to auto-archive.

What's the difference? labels are actually more flexible, you can tag a message with multiple labels .

gmail can now import POP3. just use that.

ps. why don't people get that labels and folders are the same things. is not like in real life, there both virtual idea to seperate stuff into categories.
