I would love to combine my Outlook backup file (.pst) of emails and my Outlook Express backup file of email messages into one program. Right now I have to have two programs open at once to view all of my current and old emails and it's very annoying.

I know Eudora couldn't do it, but I know there are many others out there.

Any suggestions?

In outlook express you can export to a .PST then import that into Outlook.

or do you mean something else? like keep the dbx and pst file separate....

maybe something like

mail navigator is a comprehensive but difficult to master all it's featuires
DBX converter freeware is on snapfiles site

you could export one or the other files to a eudora format under "export" drop down box and then import the file into the other ( I think()

Can mailnavigator work with a Hotmail-based account too? Right now I have Outlook Express set-up to receive mail from my pop3 service and my Hotmail email account and it's quite convenient.

I just dl'ed mailnavigator v1.9, I'll see how it works....I imagine it's sharware, but it can be cracked.

Is this the program you were talking about?

http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/ads?client=ca-webattack_120x600&random=1084036775402&adsafe=high&lmt=1083992899&format=120x600_pas_abgc&output=html&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.snapfiles.com%2Fget%2Fdbx.html

I suppose I just want to be able to import .pst's and .dbx's into one program...there's got to be one email handler out there that can import both straight-in, isn't there?

Well, my problem is with Microsoft Outlook, it's heavy on my system and for some reason refuses to send/receive any more. I've had so much trouble with Outlook on several of my machines lately that I have decided to just boycott it and use standard Outlook Express. It seems to work better for me and requires less system resources anyway, so why not.

I will try mailnavigator......thanks for the lead.
