Email notification when I get a PM

Does the new forum have the ability to send me an email when I get a new PM? I never found out how to do that with the old forum, but maybe the new one now does it? Or maybe the mods decided to not allow that feature (which is understandable).

Also, can I set 'subscribe to this topic' as checked by default when I post? Otherwise, I have to make sure I check it every time and sometimes I forget (i know, that's lazy and stupid, but so am I )
